Assure customer satisfaction through professional communications with the customers, suppliers and employees including Sales, production, customer service and alternate plant facilities. Become an expert at formulating our products for customer’s applications. Demonstrate appropriate competency in ingredient functionality and selection. Maintain full independent account responsibility. Achieve understanding of our customers products and processing. Represent R&D at customer visits and/or plant trials. Impact cost through formulation. Support customer training presentations. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Culinary Science, Biology, Chemistry or related field, and minimum of two years’ experience and/or training in food science.  Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related Science.  Food science jobs experience is a plus for this position.

 

Rgulatory Analyst

Regulatory Analyst – Oak Brook, Illinois – 2324
Maintenance of GL Apps – Adding/changing supplier Business Partner relationships for raw materials, adding Business Partner information for new customers. Maintenance of DAX formulas – executing formula revisions and exporting new formulas to DAX, request local numbers as needed for raw materials to be added to DAX. Manage kosher/halal information for both raw materials and finished products, including raw material supplier changes and any kosher/halal implications. Maintenance of GL Apps – review of formula format, adding/changing formula and raw material Regulatory descriptors, running weekly report to track notification of formula additions/revisions. Raw material document management (day-to-day) includes maintenance of the Raw Material Document Approval system, maintenance of Raw Material Spreadsheet, maintenance of raw material regulatory descriptors in GL Apps, follow-up with Flavorist/Application Scientist to secure new raw material documents, contacting vendors when information is needed. Raw material document management (ongoing) – contact vendors to request updated paperwork on a routine basis to maintain accurate information and to be aware of changes. This position will work in conjunction with the Process Compliance Analyst as needed. Education: Preferably B.S. Degree in Food Science/related field or Associates Degree; 3-5 years related experience preferred. Experience in food industry; Regulatory environment experience a plus.

Sr Director Ingredient & Product Science

Sr Director Ingredient & Product Science – Wisconsin – 2328 
Develops and implements research strategies for key ingredient sets against business strategy, to protect and grow the business. Partners within Science and with Technology, CBUs, Commercial, IP to align on strategies and ways of working with a clear focus on deliverables and impacts to the business while considering synergies and efficiencies between groups. With Ingredient Science leaders, partners with Commercial to develop strong relationships with suppliers and established collaborations with universities and MARI to lead external research in support of stated objectives. Leads Product Science to deliver cutting edge product technologies against business objectives. Unlocks technologies to drive adjacencies and transformations for the future innovation pipelines. Develops long-term ingredients-based strategic vision, based upon sound technical and business insights (which shall be kept up to date and relevant). Identifies future breakthrough technologies and drives progress against clear action plans, deliverables, milestones, and objectives. Manages (through Ingredient Science Sr Managers) the ingredient portfolios to provide optimal, highest value, cutting edge ingredients for use in our products globally. Partners with Commercial and Global Quality to ingredient specifications and MQM processes in line with corporate policy.

 

Quality Manager

Quality Manager Job – Milwaukee Wisconsin area – 2333 
Primary USDA/FDA point of contact which includes but not limited to communication of schedule and participates in weekly USDA exit meeting. Maintain compliance with all applicable VAN, SQF and regulatory requirements. Oversee of plant SQF implementation and maintenance. Responsible for validating major changes to the food safety plans, quality plans and food safety fundamentals. Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to the key major processes to identify and eliminate waste, improve performance, and create an environment of growth and continuous improvement. Perform daily plant walk-throughs – focus on food safety, food quality, worker safety, and sanitation, quality and security issues. Address problems/issues on the spot with QC techs/Leads/Supervisors. Demonstrated high performance and commitment to continuous improvement. Participate in the scoping of Lean Six Sigma initiatives and creating work plans, including deliverables, key activities, timelines and results, and support the project leader to drive initiative to completion. Maintain fundamental food safety/quality programs such as the Master Cleaning Schedule/Sanitation SOP, GMPs, Integrated Pest Management, Food Safety/Quality Consumer Complaints, Recall/Traceability, Chemical Control, Allergen Control, Supplier Certification; FM Control. Maintain HACCP program. Coordinate responses to USDA and FDA; prepare and review all NR’s for accuracy and consistency with production management before submitting.

Will be responsible for designing, planning, developing prototype formulas, conducting customer product evaluations for approval to commercialize and follow up documentation. Formulate and commercialize new product formulas including: translating bench top recipes to production formulas efficiently, within manufacturing capabilities of company. Document and maintain all Value Added formula’s in company format in the Product Development folders. Complete cost components on new formula’s and have the ability to engineer new product formula’s to desired price point, and within manufacturing capabilities of company. Validate production processing procedures and critical production control points on new items to ensure product attributes are maintained. Assist QA with completion of Value Added product specifications and set specification limits using production data. Develop ingredient declarations for new Value Added products and document background information accordingly. In liaison with QA, approve quality of raw materials and ingredients used in Value Added items. Travel to and work with vendors in the development of ingredients and components. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related Science.
